Not had experience with the amp. but impedence rise should bring you above an ohm so youll be ok with that

Yep, you'll be fine. By the time you get rise you will be above 1 ohm.

What size BTL's you getting? That amp is sweet- I have one too and love it- wouldn't sell it for anything. I'm sure it will be fine at that ohm.

Fi doesn't even make a coil configuration that you can get an amp down to .7 ohms. If your going by the Re then yes it's .7 but that's just the actual resistance, it's really a 1 ohm coil not a .7 ohm one.

It is actually a .7ohm coil wit a 1ohm name because after rise it should be there at 1ohm, I mean it says .7ohm on the site for a reason..

Actually my btl that I had read 1.3 ohms. With exactly .4 ohms of resistance in my leads that made the coil .9 ohms. I said the same thing as you anyway it is a .7 ohm actual resistance but it's a 1 ohm coil by manufacturer standards. The Nightshades are the same exact way, they are .7's, but Jacob calls them a 1 ohm coil.

I think you guys are missing the point. coils are rated from the manufacture as a ''nominal'' load i.e. dual 1ohm coils or dual 2ohm coils, as you present that as a final load to the amplifier. the .7ohm or whatever you're dealing with is the ''DCR'' reading you get from using your DMM to check coil (s) resistance.

.7 is fine because it is a 1ohm nominal load you're presenting the amp

Perfect - I have 3 BTL dual 2's and 3 T2K's. They're all very happy.

You'll enjoy it. :shok:
