Lowroll
So my current box is kinda loud for what it is but im ready to upgrade. So in its place im going to throw in 4 Soundstream RW-12's Iv got a few pics of the box so far. As of now its gonna be sealed @ about 48-49hz but i want it to hit lower more like 36-40 but i dont know if its possible with my box size. any help with that issue would be really appreciated. Id like all opinions and suggestions on my project. Actually soundstream says that 1 sub in .75 cubes hits at 48.8 & my box will be something like .85 per sub. Lowroll
Will this work? it says the fq of the box is 37.5 Hz. I know it would change some but would it be anywhere close to that with the 4 12's in it? keitare
A one inch port will have some major port noise Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move. Lowroll
Using a design like that isnt entirely impossible. the box thats in my truck in the first picture is built out of .5 MDF. I fiberglassed the entire outside of the box & loaded it with screws. The new box im building is also .5 because its the only way to get the cubes i need to make the 12's work. I think im going to end up sealing it and maybe mounting the amps on the floor in front of it. as of now they are to be partially recessed into the box above the woofers.
