I guess some pics of the new box.

The box is designed by PWK. http://pwkdesigns.com/

Me and Jeremy (wi db drag judge) built the box, so thanks to him for the use of the shop and saws :)

Couple of the saw used to slice the mdf.

This is when i realized how big my box was.

These few pictures are just mock ups, nothing glued and nailed yet. Had to make sure everything was fitting proper before hand :)

Next few pics are from my garage, doing the final work.

Got some resin done. almost 2 gallons inside her.

Lots of sanding! and I mean lots. Tho I couldnt reach one spot in the back of the box, Im gonna have to find a small narrow sander to get it later on down the road.

A small vid

YouTube - sanding

Sorry, dont know wats up with the commerical on the radio. didnt notice it til i uploaded it, but hey next time think twice, and make sure to where a rubber! ahah

Me full of dust..

Posted Image

Had a buddy that also helpped me with the sanding, which was cool cuz sanding is straight up ***** work!

My boxes ass!

Posted Image

First coat of paint on the inside after all the sanding was done.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I got a good 3-4 coats of RustOleium oil based paint on the inside.

The next day, I went out to the shop I worked for cuz Id figured id be beating that night. Needless to say the oil base paint had crazy setup time, and he was 90 degrees all week with high humidty so it didnt help much

So a few supplies i picked up.

Posted Image

I remember noticing a big difference in resistance cause by a stinger fuse block. I needed to get as much juice to my rear batts as possible and my crap dblink 0/1 gauge wire isnt helping much, so the stinger block had to go!

Posted Image

Cheap AM distributing fuse holder solved that quick. (my dmm probes have a resisance of .2).

onto the good stuff now :)

Took the tape off from painting the port.

Posted Image

First layer of exterior paint on it.

Its matched pretty close to my hoes interior color.

Posted Image

After all 3 coats of paint on the outside.

I was in need of speaker wire. Bought some from a guy selling it on CACO. It came super quick and got it before I was ready for it, I thought id be waiting for my wire to bump. but i was wrong

Tho it was to be 24 feet. and it ended up being 2 feet 2 inches short. Normally I wouldnt be angry about it, but it hurt me because I was cutting it close and even if it was 23 feet I would of made do and not even cared.

So anyways i had to cut it up to prewire my box.

Posted Image

Since the wire was over 2 feet to short, I had no way to connect both my coils together to wire up in series.

So I had to take 5 strands of Schoche 14awg wire and crimp them into a ring terminal. Now it looks ghetto. And thats my main reason for being upset with my purchase. Tho without any wire I wouldnt be bumping. Still he was a decent seller with super fast shipping!

Pre wired for the subs in the box, and wire from box to amp.

And its in!

Posted Image

Got the speakers out the house

Posted Image

And put them on my bumper for easy wiring.

Posted Image

and screwed in.

Posted Image

I also must say, last year when I had them in my caddy in the wall. I got them pretty stinky often. Tho they where abused as hell at that time

Over the winter they got reconed 1 at a time when money was there.

I hammered on it a bit tonight, no stinky yet nor did they even get warm. So I think PWK's design is great!

These are the amps that will be entering my hoe. They just need a little repairing and are at DB-R electronics right now.

Looking good brian, looks like some compeititon in SS1-2 now, i bet brandon is going to hate you... will this be at sheboygan, i cant remember if I asked or not.

Yes, Comp as in sheboygan at the shop i work at.

RPM Speed & Custom

3920 hwy 42

sheboygan, wi

53083

Still no idea how loud it is on the meter yet, but it rumbles for 1500 wrms if even that. My amp is ran at 1.5 ohms.

Heres a tiny video.

HD should be availble soon i hope!

YouTube - My hoe with 2 DD 9518s in a PWK designed box!

Remember only 1500wrms about(750 per sub), if even that (amp is still at 1.5 ohms).

Give them a lil time to process in hd if they havent yet.

YouTube - water bottle floats kinda

YouTube - just another small vid.

YouTube - 2 cans, and tried a bottle.
