My Tahoe Feels NEW! Thanks 2 Second Skin!!

im not just hyping the product, i really believe in it!! After redoing my entire system (as you saw) i FINALLY did my doors and floors. I was SERIOUSLY lacking in those areas although my hatch and roof were already done -

i can with 100% honesty, no bullshit, not trying to sell anything, tell you that my OLD, 2001 Tahoe feels BRAND NEW driving down the road. Bass, elimination of rattles and system sounding better overall is the ultimate goal - but the BEST side effect of all is the extreme reduction in road noise. You get used to it and dont realize it is there until its GONE. The Second Skin install in combination with the new Pirelli Tires that i have been raving about (reduced road noise, smoother ride) have done WONDERS for the feel of my 7 yr old vehicle. To add to that, the new system is 100% noise free, no alt whine or engine noise - so its ALL good and everything sounds and feels very TIGHT.

Anyway, its more noticeable every single day as i roam the different streets of Sacramento on my daily missions LOL - i really just wanted to send a shot out to Second Skin and Ant for having a great product!

I was thinking of doing mine but thought since there is already the pad under the carpet down why deaden it...

2 layers.......and our Tahoes and even the Escalade of the same body style has the cheapest floor pan i have ever seen. That carpet pad is weak -

I can say their products are awesome went from walmart (scoshe) to edead V3 to dynamat pro to SS regular damplifier and it was the most effective.

love secondskin DP.. great product, i havnt done my floors/roof in it only because i may not have the current vehicle much longer.. but its done a noticable difference.. and not just audio wise

edit: is there anyway to end all vibrations? my trunk lid still vibrates vigorously.. not AS bad as before i deadened it but it sounds like poo on the outside, due to rattle

yeah I did like 1 layer under the box a while ago but I'm thinking about doing it when I bust out my roof... again

my goal is tomb like silence I already notice something with just some on the doors and in other random areas.

i love damplifier pro, the door pack i had really made a difference on my hatch and doors, planning to buy a couple bulk packs to do my truck with.

sweet! did you use the new black foil or the silver? guess ill try my floors. the road noise in my crown vic is so bad it sounds like i have the doors open.

Vic - i used the Black. I think it looks cool even though i will never see it again probably (or VERY rarely) - but i managed to get at least two compliments on it from friends that stopped by while i was installing it...they noticed the black right away and said it looked much nicer then the foil. I like the foil, and again you never see the stuff after install, but while im lookin at it, the black does look better

funny part is, the side effect was supposed to be the road noise but it worked so good, its the other way around. Its like ya, no more road noise and on top of that, the system sounds better LOL!
