civichatch
Hey guys the reason i havent been on much as i have been SUPER busy. Between work and working on my car it has become a 24/7 thing. Anywase i thought ide give you guys a rundown of what ive been doing. So my old 1.5 D15B7 is getting tired so i decided right now is the perfect time to do some upgrading. So i purchased a JDM B18B1 with 60 000kms on it for 1500$ with the axles and ECU, shifter linkage, harness and all motor mounts. So i decided im going to do the swap myself (a mechanic was present incase i fucked up lol). Took me about 4 hours to take it out. Anywase here are some pics. NEW MOTOR OLD MOTOR Also throwing in a stage 1 racing clutch. New motor goes in tommorow morning. Then friday is the fire up day. (im sure somthing will need tuning) Specs on old motor: HP=102 TQ= 93 ft lbs SPECS ON NEW MOTOR: HP=148 TQ=132 This should really make my hatch rip. civichatch
nice but i would have got a gsr. 4200$ lol that would take LONGGGGG asssss time to save at 9$ an hour part time Plus this motor is OBD1 and is direct plug and play no adding wires or buying aftermarket mounts (300$) Plus i am turboing it in december. Greddy t3/t4 turbo. Thats why i chose a motor with low Miles so it will be able to run 8-12 pounds daily. And still be reliable and good on gas. My cousins freind runs this same setup with that turbo and is pushing 231hp to the wheels at 8 pounds. With stock internals.
