da99jeep
So after about a month of banging around, the excessive vibration had now broken loose the wiper motor in my rear hatch and its bouncing around like mad inside there... Fuk. I've uploaded a video now of a walk-through demo taken from my Thunderbolt... and yes my hand is shaky, I'm currently quitting smoking. 5K Mobile Electronics
Looks pretty kick ass. We just did my best friend's 99 GCL last month, no where near the sub you have(he's only running 2 Sundown SA8's ported), but just like you, we didn't skimp on the front stage, lol, here's a pic of his doors, now if I could only convince him to wall it off with 4 SA15's...... Nice! Did you disassemble the panel when you did those? it looks clean as hell. got the vinyl tucked right in the crack there. bdubii
You should seriously look into learning how to fiberglass. It isn't too hard and you could have gained some more air space by glassing around the wheel wells instead of cutting small pieces of mdf to fit there. Not hating, just offering a suggestion. It does look good though. It does look good though. Duely noted. im by no means a woodworker, and using just a jig and circular saw my cuts are not the prettiest... Never worked with glass before, so what i was doing was kinda nerve-racking... i was paranoid as hell doing my door panels cause i had no clue on how to do it. i learned from just what ive seen in pics here on the forums LOL. This is my first big build so its a learning curve. but next years build will be much better through out.. (going wall) But thanks for input much appreciated! bdubii
Check out fiberglassforums.com that is a great site to learn techniques with glassing, proper lay ups, how to mix the resin properly, etc... That's where I spent a lot of time just reading and looking at build threads and I learned a ton of information there.
