Ross's "in-between" build. (Now with 4th order. Page 5.)

Recommended Posts

This will be my build between builds because I have been wanting some bass since I took out my SoloX18. So I have been experimenting with different set-ups. First I had a Memphis 8" in a box I made for it at the audio shop I work and had it powered of my doorspeaker amp. So that just wasn't quite enough for me so I put it for sale at the shop and sold it the next day. So with the $125 I got from selling that amp I bought a REx12D4 and put it in a pre-fab box for the time being.. Well.. Prefab boxs are horrible.. So I quickly decided to build a T-line for it with the help of my freind Zach (727Designs) who made me a design and thats where this picks up with pictures.

Equipment up-to date:

Truck: 99' F-150

Headunit: Kenwood DDX318

Doorspeakers: 2 sets of KickerDS 6x8 componet sets.

Doorspeaker/Sub amp:Kicker ZX350.4

Subwoofer: REx12D4 (for now)

Wiring: 1/0 guage into 4 guage.

RCAs: Kicker 4 and 2 channels.

Speaker wire: Shok 12 guage.

Truck:

Starting of the t-line.. All the inner parts are rounded and corners are 45'd.

Box done.. I rounded all the edges and sanded it smooth.. Idk how I'll finish it but I was thinking bedliner with a Red RE logo on it. I'll have some videos of it and Pictures of it in the truck tomorrow. I may stick in on a termlab aswell..

Stay tuned :P

very nice man. i happen to have a 15 in a t-line for my bedroom. 300 watts and it gets down. im a fan of them but they just have to be huge. so for home theater its cool. in my car it seems enormous though lol. just curious but did you put a 45 in the corner right below the sub? i did on mine but not many people seem to post pics of the final layout before they put the last board on. i bet that box weighs a good bit too. mine had about 1.5-1.75 sheets of 3/4 mdf into it. thats a decent deck too. kenwood has a good product there :good:

Nice t line. What happened to your solo x and last build? It looked real nice. I have a big t line for a DC lvl 2 12 off a 400 watt plate amp for our home theater sub. Nice flat response and it loves the lowes
