98crewcab
thanks guys, big plans for this girl!!! she can now fit in my garage, so no worries about her not being there in the morning Good start! I used porterbuilt components to slam mine, but also used Art Morrison frame components! Im looking forward to this build! Are you sectioning the bed, or are you gonna just find a shortbed or buy new? LOVE the porterbuilt line, that guy is making some shit over there, but too pricey for me, so will be fabbing up all my own stuff. I was looking around for a bed, none in my budget, so will be shortening mine. was going to go a couple inches shorter than stock shortbed, but the few i did see left me at the decision to just go factory short. and if all else fails, and I REALLY mess this bed up, can always keep looking for a shortbed. (but I am quite confident that my bodywork will pay off...lol) Good choice. That was gonna be my first suggestion but you already handles that. This is my favorite years of chevy fleetsides. My dad has had about 6it of thesr. Love em. That thing have power disc and steering? nice!! dad still have one around? this is my 4th one. never had the "vision" as I do now with this one. I cut the top off the last one, made it a tilt front end, and smooth firewall......then sold the cab during the divorce. now life is good, so building this one to keep:) (and a little more realistic) it HAD power steering, but no power brakes. all drum. will be hydro boosted power, disk brakes on all 4 corners. staying with the 12bolt rear for now, with Moser axles bringing me to the 5 bolt lug pattern:) a new front end, crossmember and all, out of a 78 chevy C10, think I have some pics of the last one, will scan them soon:) 06 2500hd, 6.0L, 4l80e, 4wd, (muah work truck) 7" BDS HC lift kit (5) 37x13.5R18 Toyo Open Country M/Ts (5) 18x10 Moto Metal MO962 tablet in lieu of deck blue tooth interconnect to soundstream eq (for volume control and bass control) 4 Alpine type r 10's 6 cubes net, 80sqin's port, tuned to 33hz 2 brutus brx5000.5's 2 pairs 3" polk audio for a pillars 4 pairs polk audio 6.5 comps 1 pair 8" polk audio for mids 2 xspower d3400 batteries.....learning alot from meade and his circle of some of the baddest installers ive seen- thanks guys, for not being so cocky and posting the way it should be done!P.S.
