to the OP, I have been to MANY Military funerals. This "memo" about not mentioning the POTUS is nonsense. There are variations to what the presiding officer says and it is no shit at the discretion of that officer, and is usually at a near whisper to the next of kin. In my case, the GO usually said "on behalf of a grateful Nation...". No one EVER questions what they say. I have been to funerals from Saint Louis to Arlington to Dallas to NC to VA...

So why did all of the ignorant voters vote for Obama? The Presidential election is a likeablilty contest, for the most part. You have people who will alway vote one way or the other, and then you have the fence sitters who are going to vote for who they perceive to be nicer, a better speaker, more likeable, less crazy, etc. Being a great speaker helped Obama a ton. You also have the people who voted for Obama because of that dumbass Palin being on the Rep ticket...why they picked that dingbat is beyond me, she brought absolutely nothing to the table.

I am a well educated hard working american that voted for Obama and not because I am democrat or republican but because during that time I thought that what was best choice for my family. For you to sit up there and call people from all races ignorant for voting for him just really got under my skin. Let me tell you something you son of a bitch. I was raised up on food stamps and not because my mother wanted to take advantage of the system. It was because my grandmother at the time was trying to support me and my sister based on matters that I care not to discuss. As stated on previous post it's not the system that is the issue. It's the people who are taking advantage of that system. You have people that are taking advantage of all kinds of systems out there. I for one believe in helping those who need help as I would want someone to do the same for me. Just as tons of members here went and helped the guy who was trying to get a bike for his daughter. Help goes along way with some folks. But for you to sit up there and BASH a system based on people who are taking advantage is just plain dumb and stupid. For someone who seems to have all the answers why isn't your dumb fucking ass down in Washington making a difference besides sitting here running your fucking mouth? If you know how thing should work why aren't you down there in Washington giving your wonderful ideas?

Point in case none of us have the answers because if we did I'm sure we would be down in Washington fixing all of the shit that is going wrong. All of us should believe in helping one another regardless of those dumb idiot motherfuckers who are there to take advantage of the system. We shouldn't say that a person is a waste of space when we know nothing about that person because fact is you don't know Obama. Only what you hear and read about him and judging from your first original post you can't tell fact from fiction.

Your facts to support this? Because the fact is that he walked into this mess and if you take a look at the actual data you will see that now unemployment is actually going down and is currently at it's lowest point since feb of 09. You can check the stats here

I honestly didnt vote at all nor have I ever because to me its all a bunch of bullshit.... I would have voted for obama though because I didnt like McCain and i DAMN sure didnt like that crazy hoe Palin.....I would say that he has not done anything to improve our situation but he was the lesser of 2 evils at the time...I do hope that he doesnt win another term because he isnt benefitting us in any way

looking at the link you gave, from 09 to 12, unemployment rate went up.

I don't follow or care about politics that much, but from observing Obama's actions thru news, it almost looks like he's goal was not to improve US, but JUST to make history as "first black president".

I also believe that McCain didn't want to win, because US was in really deep shit in 2008. Obama was a perfect "dummy" for the job.

I honestly liked Obama when he was running for election. It has nothing to do with his race. He seemed like a modest guy, and promised to get us out of the wars and turmoil. Unfortunately, he broke his promises and we're still in some pretty significant turmoil. I've got more beef with his determined supporters than him, himself. Saying that the current economic situation is still a direct result of Bush's administration is nonsense. This current state of collapse is from Obama's administration and our dysfunctional Congress. Obama seems like a pawn in a broken game of government chess. The real "king" is big, monopolizing Corporate America. Obama can try all he wants, to get things done, but money talks. Now that I can vote, I'm voting for Ron Paul even if he's not on the ballot. We shouldn't be ripping each other to shreds over a problem that can't be solved by simply talking about it. If we want to make a difference, we need to exercise our Constitutional Rights to protest and petition. That's my two cents, take it or leave it.

try looking at welfare from another point of view, if you were unable to get a good paying job, living month to month and in need of welfare assistance. Would you refuse it based on that it is socialism? I doubt it. Does it have loopholes, yeah it does, and I know that there are ways to milk it for all its worth. But then again it's all perspective of things.

then why not drug test all welfare users? why when states tried to implement this people claimed it to be unconstitutional. i have to be drug tested to work my ass off on at my job why shouldn't they be drug tested to sit at home?

If drug testing is considered unconstitutional and the POS people who suck the welfare system dry sitting on their ass or dealing and collecting find loopholes, i believe the american congress can damn sure find loopholes. They just dont give a shit. Why not make stipulations to collecting? Such as having proof they have looked for a job or a required amount of job apps turned in. My .02

You already have to have proof that you are looking for work to get assistance, whether its welfare, or unemployment.
