long time no update. going to be doing some changes in 2016. redoing the majority of the set up from the front of the sub box forward. building side panels to seal the windows and sides of the van off from the subs. then building new rear mid chambers off of those. plan on running 8 ) 6.5's and 2) 10" mids on each side for the rear fill. then putting 4 super tweets on each side to finish back there. mite throw in some special little touches to make it a little neater. then im building a console to mate up to the dash thats removable, cus hey its a van some times the motor cover needs to come off. putting all my meters and gauges in there and remounting the ipad. new solid floor being laid down up to the between the seats, leaving the floors in front of the seats alone. sealing and packing the headliner to stand up to that beating. still have to finish the A pillar pods and git those in. the doors im going to add some reactor dome tweets to and maybe some 4" reactor proto mids im not sure yet. on top of all that work to be done i want to redo the amp mounting arrangement in the rear end. i may move a few amps up to the front and mount them on the console some how. gonna have the 6 skar 85.4's and the 3 sk4500s for sure and im thinking about adding a few of the skar LP amps. thennnnn theres the escalade front end im thinking about doing to it. its a never ending process.

  • 1 month later...

finally got the 2 fat singer alts put on it. swapped out the stock left side bracket for one off at 90 blazer to mount the 2nd alt. the singers patter was a 1/2 inch bigger then a stock alt so i had to use some angle iron to make a mount for it. in case your wondering and are thinking about doing this on your astro the belt length should be a 93". each alt has 2 runs of 0 gauge going from it to the fusing block before going the the main cables. its only got 2 on it now but im adding 2 more runs. fabbed up a fusing block to hook 4 charging wires up to the main cables. made it out of some scrap mdf and cheapo fuse holders i had. the fuses will all be the same when im done, i didnt have any the same size at the time

old bracket vs. new one
