Hey guys I just threw in a small system I've had in the closet for about seven years into my new 2012 Scion xB. It's just a RF 200.1 mono block and a RF 12" Hx2 in a prefab ported box.

Luckily the 2011 and 2012 Scion's have RCA's built in so all I had to do was pull the h/u and splice into the gray ACC 12+v wire for the remote and plug in the RCA's. I ran 1/0 from the front battery to the rear and used a 1/0 to 4awgx2 fused block for this setup since in a few weeks I'll be getting some old 15" juggs and a 2400 watt RF mono block for this car. So I didn't want to have to run power twice. Everything is ran neatly through the kick panels to the rear on both sides of the car. The box is sub and port facing the passenger side. I'm going to post a few pictures of this build and a little demo video but the mic on my phone does a good job of noise cancelling so it doesn't pick the bass up very good.

And my wife's RS 9 xB (we bought them the same day)

Has anyone ran these old Punch Hx2's on 500rms with good results? I have a chance to pick up a RF Prime 500.1 for a decent price, I just don't want to burn this woofer up. The specs say it can handle it but just want some real world experience.

Ok since no one seems to care about the temp setup I could use some help on a box design from those of you who are good at that sort of thing. I'm going to be picking up 2 15" juggernauts from a friend of mine here in about a week or two. So I'd like to start building the box so I can have it ready for when I get the subs. My dimensions are 38" wide x 32.25" H (that's right below the headliner) x 20" deep on the top and 26" deep on the bottom. I really don't want to lose my backseats, at least not right now so any help would be awesome. The juggs displace .42 and the recommended net volume per sub is 4.5 cubes. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ok so I was planning on running my two old Jugg 15's on 2400 watts, but I'd have to buy them back from the friend who I sold them too. So I'm wondering if you guys were in my situation what sub/power combo would you go with for a daily driver? I don't want to loose my back seats but I would like something that can move some air and hit the lows. Also I'm not too concerned with budget just want the best bang for the buck.

I did a design in torres and came up with a box tuned to 34hz and it is 5.53 cubes (net). But I'm not dead set on the two 15's anymore. I just want to be able to move a little air on about 2-3k.

Ok how does this sound....

6 vvx 10's on two Sk-1500's @ 1? I designed a box in torres that measures 32" H x 38" W x 16.75" D using 3 4" diameter 4.75" long ports which gives me almost exactly the dimensions listed on skar's site.
