the_garynator
Picked this up a while back, was cool to own an amp that I remember lusting over back when they were new. I actually bought it because the ebay ad listed it as a 3kw amp and didn't realize it was only 2k until after I hit the buy it now button. I figured since it was my mistake, even though the amp was falsely advertised, that I would resell it. Long story short, sold it on ebay to some kid who screwed it up...he opened a case, I won, the guy sent it back to me for some reason even after I said he wasn't getting a refund. Cost him $25 to ship it back LOL. Either way, turned out he screwed it up pretty bad but I'm hoping to repair it at some point. Specs: 650W x 1 @ 4O mono 1200W x 1 @ 2O mono 2000W x 1 @ 1O mono Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.03 Frequency Response: 20~250 Power Band Width (Frequency Response): 20~500 Hz Crossover Frequency: 40~250 Hz - 15~40 dB Damping Factor: 100 Dimensions [(W) 2.5/63.5(H) x 8.75/222(D) in/mm]: 13.8/350 Fuse Rating: 30A x 3 Power Voltage Range: 12~16V High efficiency Class D design(1D/2D/3D) Figured I'd share. These are pictures prior to selling it: 19lbs of amp goodness Now for the Guts On another note, if anyone is familiar with amplifier repair, I'd be curious what it would take/cost to fix this thing. I'm proficient in soldering on PCBs but I'm not sure where to start as to diagnosing what is bad and finding the parts to replace. Some pictures I found around the internet, figured I'd add them in here so that most all the information is in one location From: http://www.trinituner.com/v3/forums/viewtopic.php?t=140575: http://techtalk.parts-express.com/showthread.php?223622-Car-Audio-US-Amps-Merlin-MD3D: Current Build: Project Flexington: 157.6db @ 37hz Parallel 6th order walk through, DC Neo Elite 18s, 4 DC 5.0ks, JY Lithium, 12 banks of XS Caps Old Builds:150db and HAIRTRICKs from 2x 12" Power Acoustik Mofos (6th order blow through) ;<p>Roadmaster Wagon Build - DC LVL 6 M3, Kicker Warhorse ; Godzilla swapped 240sx ; 6th Order Bandpass Alpine Type R 12 ; Fully loaded DC Level 5 18" 240sx

I'm I correct? Opps, I missed that...I copied the specs from somewhere and didn't notice..I'll update the post. As for fuses on the inside, I seem to recall it having 3 40 amp fuses internally, but I may be thinking of a different amp. I'll check tonight when I'm out at my shop. I'll grab some pictures of the carnage if I have time too.
