Today we visited the Maxxsonics booth at CES in Las Vegas and found out was in store for HifonicsAmplifiers in 2013. This year it looks like they’ve designed an entire amplifier lineup for their Brutus line titled “BRX”. Previously, the Brutus lineup exclusively featured Monoblock amplifiers. However, this year the Brutus BRX lineup will feature both full range and monoblock configurations – and they’re even throwing in a 5-channel for good measure! In fact, this year it looks like the Brutus BRX lineup will feature a total of 9 amplifiers!

The Brutus BRX amplifiers will have some standard features found across the entire series. Molded and angled illuminated terminals for stylish designs and a stress free installation access. Accu-Cross crossovers allow for adjustments and for sound shaping and Ultra-Fi MOSFET power supplies ensure the amplifier can maximize its sound capabilities.

To distinguish between the full-range multi-channel amplifiers and the monoblock amplifiers, two different Class’s of Brutus Amplifiers are available. The multi-channel amplifiers are coined the “Super A/B Class” and the monoblocks are the “NGSD Next Generation Super D-Class.” The Super A/B Class was initially developed for the flagship Mt. Olympus amplifiers and is only featured on the BRX and the Brutus Elite line of amplifiers from Hifonics. The NGSD digital chip design in the monoblocks has been tweaked to provide an extremely efficient, low temperature, high amplification system.

damn, that amp looks pretty nice, hope it's as good as the original brutus or bxi line of amps

edit: although this makes no fucking sense to me

Kinda like the lit terminals, but its just wasting precious power imo.

Hifonic's seem to be very very power hungry as it is lol. I know mine are.

Its pretty cool overall I would prefer this model over the ones I have now.

Thx for posting.

LED's take up hardly any power, like, it's in the single digits of watts. Not even. Amps look solid, they still haven't got the jist from the consumers about the angled terminals though.

The amp looks to me the combination of the 05 series, and BRZ series

I still hated the angled terminals though

I like the new look, alot...

I do dislike the terminals, they're a bit hard to work with... there's no mounting the amp, then wiring it...

Lighting up the terminals adds to the appeal for me...

Even the heat sinks are blue...

The New BRX amps are our best Brutus amps we built thus far.

They are RMS rated and the additional illumination looks incredible (and only draws 20 milliamps)

More models to choose from including A/B Class 2 and 4 channel in addition to the many D-Class mono amps.

There is also a completely new line of Hifonics subs (Zeus, Atlas, Hercules and Brutu) that cover the power and performance from A to Z.

Going to be a great 2013...wait until you see the new MBQ amps, speakers and subwoofers...by far the best stuff to roll out of MBQ ever!
