Depending on who told you that, they probably just didn't know any better, probably read the serial number like you did and assumed that is what it was without asking someone who knew what it really was. I doubt they are trying to lie direct to your face and pull a fast one, they just did a massive sale and didn't screw anyone over on that deal. I would guess it is a honest mistake.

Few things here are fishy though. I'm not the first guy that has had an issue with the person I talked to. For someone that works there, I assume they would know that they only have a 90.4 and 120.4. He also told me that the "100.4" and the 120.4 are the same price. So even with that sale they were running that it would be the same cost. When the 120.4 is $300 and the 100.4 (90.4) is/was $230.

I assumed that the 100.4 was a test amp or something that's why it was in their demo vehicle, so maybe it did cost the same.

The 90.4 I received was b-stock. I basically paid for the price of a new one, or the b-stock sale price of a 120.4.

I'll call tomorrow and see what's up. Hopefully they will correct their mistake somehow.

I know if it was out of the demo scion, it was a 90.4, I saw it at USACI WFs in 2011 and talked to old manager mike about the equipment in the demo ride, the amps were up under the box. It looks like the 90.4 and that is what he told me it was, so unless he was wrong from the beginning but lol, just call them and see what is up.

And just because someone works there, don't assume they know all about AQ/SQ since it's existance. If it was the owner, then that is a difference story.

Not really a claim, I don't believe. All I have done is taken it out of the box, cleaned up the outside up to make it look nice. It had packing peanut crap all over it. (They had the correct packing foam around the amp, just had some peanuts in there)

I took pictures since I thought was a one of a kind AQ 100.4.

Was just gonna call up and see what they say. Hopefully they won't try and BS and give me the run around. I just want good quality CS, not BS.

That was the First rendition of what became the 90.4 The orginal modle AQ-4 and power rating of 100.4 is correct. There were only 2 samples of that made and they were used in our demo car for several years. When I made this transaction It was for a b-stock 120.4 that inventory said we had a single unit left. This was incorrect so we contacted the customer to offer a very viable substution.

The general public is correct we only mass produced the 90.4 and 120.4, however we do have several units around the shop that were 1 off or prototype units.
