06 Infinity QX56 C-Pillar 4 18" Crossfire xs-spl-v2 new videos coming

Recommended Posts

Got some of work done that takes forever last night. First we worked on the top piece due to the passenger side of the car being huge in the pillar because of the rear air the entire night was a challenge. Ended up making the hole I knew was going to have to be there a bit larger than I wanted the cut from inside looked different and when we cut to the line we made well, shit happens... LOL That piece was the angle going back wall to top and had to wedge up to the top piece which turned out good. Not a big issue that side had to be fiber glassed anyway. Andrew came up with a great idea for the hole and making the fiber glass a bit stronger by taking card board with felt over it so when we resin it the felt and cardboard will soak it up and be a thick piece, but we will still do like 5 or 6 layers right there making it as strong as the mdf.

At this point I can give all the specs up until now was not sure the exact. Wall is 24 cubes after all displacements, port is 380 sq in tuned to 35 hertz. This monster should get down and be loud with air movement like a hurricane. At least that is what we are after!

Here are the pics tried to take a bunch but ended up getting too involved and missing some good ones.

Top on.

My wife was very surprised when I said I was rebuilding already, she loved the looks and the way it sounded. Then I told her but I got a great deal on 2 more 18's and she said well better do it then! Great wives are hard to come by! Thanks we are putting in some serious work hope it turns out great.

I am about to begin working on it again after Christmas more than likely. The building will come first but after I may look into doing some things to make the ouside nice too. There just aren't many "street" xterras lol. Yeah the port looks massive. Ought to have a sign demos for 16+ only... port eats small children lol.
