Just getting this set up while I have some down time at work. I will start posting what pics I have as I can. But to hit the highlights this is a 1993 C1500 Ext Cab long bed Silverado. I picked it up from my neighbours for $500.00. It was running just had to be jumped off after sitting for a few months. It has 177k and looks all original. Only 3 issues; A/C is out, stereo was dead, and gauge issues. I hope to have it shaped up in time for Slamefest 2014(Gainesville Fl Sept. 2014). I have installed a good stereo, not over the top but good. I replaced the stock headlights with clear lenses. I plan on a 3"/4" drop, freshen up the exterior, roll pan, tail lights, mirrors, and 20's. That should get me through until after the debut show. After I get up and going and find another ride (this is my daily driver) I plan on removing the back seat and stepping up to 3 12's or 2 15's doing a full console and maybe some dash work. I will do a major interior update then changing colors and seats and so on, Defiantly doing a custom gauge setup. Will change mids and highs up to Punch series at a minimum along with amps and so on. Will have to add batteries and amps at that point also. Have a lot of ideas but just want to get through the first round right now. I did a S10 build like 8 years ago and this is my first project since then.

Just a heads up on the ac, since it's 20 yrs old, the seal are probably shot. Replace the seal throughout and convert from freon with the r134. It'a a cheap and easy fix. Entire job will probably cost you about $75.

Yeah thats what I figured on the a/c. Just not on the priority list at the momnet.

I am gonna tell you from experience. Just do the 4/6 drop and notch the frame. DJM makes a great kit for this. I did a 2/4 drop and now I'm mad that I didn't do a 4/6 to begin with.

Ok so here we go its picture time. And here is what I have done so far:

Installed and older Pioneer CD player from a previous build, took my first stab at fiberglass and made a set of pods for the c pillars, and installed a set of RF R1653's, Prime 3-ways. I made a simple amp rack for the 3 Rockford Prime series amps; a R250x4 for the mids and highs and 2 R250x1's for the subs. I made another set of pods for the doors and this time loaded each door with a set of RF Prime 6.5 components(R165s). Under the back seat I put a set of R2D4-10's in custom built sealed boxes. All the wiring is KnuKonceptz KCA Cable and Konfused series fuse blocks. I did the Big 3 with 1/0 KCA and did a single run of 1/0 through the firewall under the carpet and to a KNF-23 Fuse Block. I ran short runs of 4 gauge KCA to the amps. I kept the grounds as short a possible using another KNF-23 as a common block and grounding it to the open bolt hole left by the jack, after sanding all the paint from the surface. For RCA's I used 3 sets of KnuKonceptz Basik series 5m RCA's with the integrated remote lead and a 1m to tie the to Sub amps together.
