Damn, didn't know the fs was that low on the x18s...

I've built quite a few t-lines but mostly with smaller drivers. The thing is I've noticed you tend to get an octave passband on each side of tuning so with a 20hz tune youll play well from 10-40 in theory. If you play a lot of low stuff you'll love it since it should absolutely fucking slam those frequencies haha. Would just be a bit worried about having output much higher than that.

Tuned in man, make it happen!

I'm keeping my jl 12's. Hopefully that'll pick up and upper subs that I miss.

All of the t-lines I've built have been beautiful all the way to 100Hz. Even the one in my truck in the above video, and it's tuned to 29Hz. They actually do very well above tuning and they do well for about an octave below.

As for tuning, it's fine to tune below Fs but they don't do well above it.

This one for the X18 is gonna be a low note beast.

Thanks for all your help. What your telling me is what I was thinking. The problem with t lines is everyone makes you second guess yourself. I decided after seeing your videos I was just gonna do it.

Ps: Went to Freezefest this weekend in Lebanon, Tn. There was a Jeep Cherokee that was all CT Sounds. They had 4 tropo 15's. It sounded phenomenal. Very cool jeep. True ground pounder. Chow Time Car Audio.

Awesome. The Tropos are the entry level subs, lol.

I was actually pretty impressed with the 8s I tested.
