How smelly do your dc subs get?

Recommended Posts

I have a couple xl's and tuned my amp with the dd-1 but my bass knob for my dc amp shows clipping, I was told to ignore this if it was properly tuned with the dd-1 but my subs start to get pretty stinky a couple songs in and dust caps get warm. I've herd that some dc subs just smell but I don't want to blow these things. what do you guys think?

What power and what is your enclosure like?

Mine never got stinky. Level 3's on a DC 2k.

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

Stop playing shitty clipped music

I assume too often that people are aware that downloaded music from the wrong source could be clipped to holly hell... but could very well be the case in this situation-

I did get it all off of youtube... you think that's it?
