I am not saying it is. all I am asking is why can I go hours on end with the gain pretty much all the way up. IF I was clipping like I should be, I would have blown something up by now. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

ChevyBoy95
LC-1's dont absorb RCA voltage at all [maybe a suuuuuper small bit to resistance]. But my 4v preouts are 3.98v on the other side of my LC-1. Secondly, like Tony D explained in a video, that .5-10 doesnt necessarily mean it is .5v to 10v even though the amp says that, they are just markings to show high v. low in a sense. And if you gain is maxed, you are getting very low signal voltage from the HU, so something probably isnt right. Use a proper tool and check your output voltage in ACV on the RCAs. And you could only be slowly burning up the subs mostly slowed/decaf stuff and other rap stuff. DD subs have a distinct smell to them when they start getting warm and they are not warm at all. even after a half hour drive full tilt the whole time. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

My gain is like 95%. and that's a good idea I will check my rca voltage. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

sbg
Man i had a lot of systems before I learned about clipping and what not. All of them I had the gain and bass boost all the way up for hours on end. Only a few gave out on me. Think of it like a car. If you take care of your car and do oil changes every 3000 miles it will last a lot longer then a car that you beat the shit out of and never change the oil. Same with subs/amps if you beat the shit out of them and clipp they will not last as long. 01 focus se 110 amp alt Big 3 sky high and stinger hpm ofc 1/0 Super start platinum AGM (starting) 2 runs of 1/0 Execution audio front to back Kenwood double DIN DDx271 A pillars- orion 4" super tweeter and 2-1" alpines.
