Recone to increase XL M2 15" power handiling ?

Hello,

I have two XL m2 15" subs that need reconing. I`m also looking for more power handling 2500-3000 rms.
What upgrades I need for the stock recone ?
Can DC do that for me? Which is better DC or PSI recones ?

amp: DC 5K. enclosure tuned to 29Hz.

How do you figure a recone will make it handle more power ? Why not just get a lvl 5 that's rated to take the power instead if trying to overpower your sub

TL results:157.1 at 38hz and 156.8 at headrest score @37hz. STATE AND NATIONAL RECORD IN MECA S5.

I thought those subs were already 2200 watts rms? 2 of em on the DC 5k is a perfect match IMO. They should already be able to take that much power if you're not clipping and you know what you're doing.

As u see they need reconeing either he bought them that way or he blew them

This is the same dude that wanted to recone these DC woofers with a sundown z4 recone..

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

Sounds like he was told the gain is a volume knob lol. I could be wrong but I believe I heard the XL coils can handle at the most 3000rms daily. A 5k is a perfect match, just get your box right and set your gains with a dd-1, if that's not loud enough upgrade.
