jakmagic
Has anybody here had a chance to try to mount the PRS in a Buick LeSabre before? (Mine is a 97 Buick LeSabre with 6 speaker system) On both Sonic and Crutch field it says it doesn't fit my car. So for the hell of it I called crutch field and asked why. They told me the the PRS is longer than most decks and it won't fit. I thought single din was single din? I have an idea how to possibly make it fit? What if I cut the plastic of my dash to make the opening a little wider. Then I would put like 1/4" spacers behind the mounting holes of my dash kit. I would find some longer screws. My deck would then, just sit 1/4" farther out than normal. jmillsner
i don't think the 80prs is any longer than the majority of other single DINs out there. it fit fine in my car, and i GUARANTEE i have less space back there than anything haha
alaskanzx5
Side by side to an older pioneer deck looked like the same size to me. measure height, depth, and width you can fit then call pioneer tech and get the measurements for the 80prs t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. W140
It fits in any single din opening height and width wise. It may be slightly deeper because of the heatsink on the back of the unit. Even if this is the case, you should be able to modify your radio pocket slightly in the back, most cars have room to expand.
