3rd Gen Dodge enclosure idea

Those that know these trucks, know that there isn't any room for subs if you want to keep the your stereo incognito.

When I started to install my system, I wanted to be different. I wanted a 15" sub under the back seat. Never seen anyone do this. So, I built a A-periodic enclosure...Old School. Long story short...The area was not able to be used due to the frame. Back to the drawing board.

Mean while, I was working on a party boat with some stereo issues, I noticed that there was a sealed sub enclosure under the deck. The box was ported up thru the deck and sitting under an raised central table/bar area with a mushroom vent cap over the top of the port. Once I fixed the wiring issue and replaced the amps, I finally heard the sub...very impressed for playing out in the open on a 60+ boat. I was so impressed, I had to find out the name of the manuf., which was Niles. this sub was designed to be buried below ground, underground, sub for your back yard.

My question is, could this or something like this be used? Mount the enclosure under the body and port it under the rear seat? It would be a bandpass enclosure. I don't want to build a blow-thru from my bed or go with a "off the shelf" enclosure.

Is something like that possible? Probably.

But is it practical? Highly unlikely. Hey if you want to give it a try, more power to ya. Post pics cuz I want to see it!
