FknCrawler
Having trouble keeping the legs of the speaker rings glued to the fiberglass with Hot Glue. What will work better? Noticed it when stretching the fleece. 1992 Honda Civic CX Hatchback K24a2 Swap
bcbrassard
I like to use 1/4" dowl rods and drill 1/4" holes in the MDF rings and thru the panel and glue or hot glue them together. Have you thought about using small screws to hold it together since you have it ready to fleece and resin? Bummer that it loosened up.
Robert8252
Are you just pulling the fleece too tight? Hot glue usually holds pretty good to get the shape you need. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff

mbdblue
CA glue will hold it. If you need it now, a hobby shop usually sells it. Pioneerchuck
I used the CA glue from www.fixmyspeaker.com and it never pulled away. Obviously i let it sit a little bit before i applied the fleece.

thefourth
hot glue always worked for me for a much stronger hold use ca glue Hot glue will work for sure, only use enough to go around the dowel. And make sure you let it set completely. I usually do it atleast 2 times myself. Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd. FknCrawler
I just used some dual cure resin to get it to hold. I'm gonna to go back and add some cloth for strength then stretch the fleece. Going to take it very slow and do it right. 1992 Honda Civic CX Hatchback K24a2 Swap
