sub terminal reading higher ohm than at tinsels landing

was checking the ohm at the 8guage terminal opening and getting funning readings, but At the tinsels and the connection its reading correct, i want to know why is that? this is the second time ive came across this first time i played with the upper terminal connection that solders to the tinsels and it began to read correctly at the terminal this time its not.

The term ohm is referring to its resistance. Higher means more resistance. So at the spider pack or wherever your meauring on the sub it's getting slightly less resistance. Once it goes through push terminals, wire, and a terminal cup... Even if each one of those things only adds .05 resistance it will Add up from (example) 1ohm to 1.15ohm, in my example of course.

I'd check to insure your connections are as tight and corrosion free as possible. Loose connections and corrosion will add resistance every time.

If you have a D2 subwoofer and it reads 2 ohms at the leads on top of the spider but the terminal itself reads 4 ohms then the solder connection inside the terminal needs to be re heated with a soldering iron. Test it again after the terminal has cooled off. Should be good to go
