dblovah51
was checking the ohm at the 8guage terminal opening and getting funning readings, but At the tinsels and the connection its reading correct, i want to know why is that? this is the second time ive came across this first time i played with the upper terminal connection that solders to the tinsels and it began to read correctly at the terminal this time its not. Swordlordboy1234
The term ohm is referring to its resistance. Higher means more resistance. So at the spider pack or wherever your meauring on the sub it's getting slightly less resistance. Once it goes through push terminals, wire, and a terminal cup... Even if each one of those things only adds .05 resistance it will Add up from (example) 1ohm to 1.15ohm, in my example of course. I'd check to insure your connections are as tight and corrosion free as possible. Loose connections and corrosion will add resistance every time. dblovah51
Yea the difference is drastic it's a dual 2 sub n reading 4 and higher at the terminal Quote 2004 trailblazer 4 FI BTL 18s (2) DC 10.0k xs power d3100s mechman 270 158.2 @
Lbox88
Check all connections and make sure everything is tight. Give each part from the sub terminal out a tug to make sure. Quote UBL | Build Log
Kyblack76
can you show a pic of the meter on the leads, and then on the terminals? Quote SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
WCA Rusty
If you have a D2 subwoofer and it reads 2 ohms at the leads on top of the spider but the terminal itself reads 4 ohms then the solder connection inside the terminal needs to be re heated with a soldering iron. Test it again after the terminal has cooled off. Should be good to go Quote DC AUDIO Phone Number 1(855)SPL-DBZZ Built by Competitors, for Competitors. dblovah51
Yes rusty it was the soldered section of the terminal it wasn't that lose but as I apply pressure to it it began to read correctly Quote 2004 trailblazer 4 FI BTL 18s (2) DC 10.0k xs power d3100s mechman 270 158.2 @
