I checked all my fuses, checked all the wires, re-wired everything, made sure my ground was on bare metal and not moveable at all. I took out the positive and negative wires that connect from the amp to the subwoofer and it stays green, the second I put them in I feel the sub moving and powered, but the second I turn it up to about 30 it goes into protect mode. Can someone please help me out.! I have a 12" infinity 1200 watt peak 300rms subwoofer connected to a 600watt peak lanzar vibe amp. Everything was working GREAT till this starting happening and now I have no idea what's going on.

What amperage is your alternator rated for? It might not be able to produce enough current to power the vehicles stock electronics and the amplifier if it's stock and low amp output. Have you checked voltage drop when you turn the volume up?

Still shouldn't put the amp into protect mode....

If it has a low voltage protect circuit then it will. Some amps do some dont. I personally would say it's probably the amp being cheap product that isn't worth the money. Lanzar is about along the lines of Pyle and pyramid and what ever other cheap shit you can find on amazon or ebay, in my opinion.

The good news is that it sounds like it comes out of protect, so if no one else has any thing for you to check or do, just dont turn your HU up to thirty...

Running into the same issue with my Touareg. My alternator was going out but my both of my JLs were going into protect. Audio just clips in and out. I replaced the alternator but they are still doing it.

I am sure the battery is the culprit but you guys would know better. I need to replace the factory battery but also have a 1400 and 2400 kinetik on their way. Hopefully that will help out a bit. :)
