They will give you room to upgrade should you want to go with a bigger amp like the DC 3.5k down the road without changing subs. Before you say you dont plan on upgrading, I said the same thing when I first bought a couple of JL 10s and a 1000w amp. 30kw and 8 15s later I still want more.
