TzA Posted October 19, 2014 Report Share Posted October 19, 2014 I slipped with my screw driver and put a hole in the side of my surround. Below is a picture - I repaired it with Sureflex. I may have used a bit much. Where you see the most concentrated area of the adhesive is where the hole was. Is this something that needs to be replaced (re-cone)? Will this effect sound at all? Guest Posted October 19, 2014 Report Share Posted October 19, 2014 A small hole in the surround is really nothing to get worried about unless you are pushing the subs way past their limits all the time I think thorshammer completely covered his surrounds in duct tape, and that shit banged hard, but this was before my time. A little gorilla glue or a small strip of industrial tape is fine and you likely wont notice any difference be careful gooping shit on there as it could rub on the mounting ring while playing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
