Swordlordboy1234
So I made a status of this yesterday because it was on my mind, but because of how popular it was... I'd like to see what people officially think is the best car to do a trunk build in Rules are : 1) must be all in the trunk 2) must be able to seat the same number of people the car was intended to seat from the factory 3) not a burp only car 4) must get above 20mpg highway (so its reasonable to drive to shows) Goals are : anything impressive out of a trunk (you know what it is) - hair tricks - big numbers < 40hz - as crazy as possible while still seating 4 people I'll start it off The two I'd like to submit to this post are -96 accord LX sedan (no sunroof) because it gets 20/28 mpg. It has about 14cubes available to build in for the trunk, it has a fully folding back seat, has a great grounding location with the strut towers and has two natural peaks 34hz and 47hz which is great for music IMO, DC power makes a 270xp for it (that helps stall the engine at idle LUL) has a very good platform for a great sounding front stage. Guys have built this car to do over 150's on music or award winning sq cars... What's not to like? Not to mention honda reliability. -2010 Nissan altima sedan (no sunroof) because it gets 23/32mpg, has over 15 cubes in the trunk to work with, back seats fully fold in a 60/40 config, has retarded amounts of trunk depth, a great dash lay out for a awesome front stage, dc power makes a 320spx-I for it, and I think it looks bad ass. Has all the things I fell in love with in my honda, but is a little easier to find in good condition Please share your favorites guys, I'd like to see intelligent debits on great cars to do trunk only builds In and your reasons behind your picks. OrionStang
After this came up yesterday, I found a pair of Cadillac Fleetwoods, one '93 and one '96. Fairly cheap and well maintained by elderly single owners. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=92591&endYear=1999&modelCode1=FLEE&showcaseOwnerId=1236944&startYear=1993&makeCode1=CAD&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&searchRadius=50&mmt=%5BCAD%5BFLEE%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&listingId=369150191&Log=0 http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=92591&endYear=1999&modelCode1=FLEE&showcaseOwnerId=1236944&startYear=1993&makeCode1=CAD&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&searchRadius=50&showcaseListingId=0&mmt=%5BCAD%5BFLEE%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&listingId=374469717&Log=0 Looks like plenty of ass to build in. Not that you had to do it bangin. That rule was just so idiots couldn't have a port that sticks out to their b pillar when the seats are down. RainStryke
Pretty much anything that can drop the middle part of the seat to allow a lot of air to come into the passenger area to move a lot of air for the hair trick. Looks like the sedan with the largest closed off trunk is going to be the 2013 Ford Taurus, with 20 cubic feet of space to work with in the trunk... So that's where I'd start... Others ones to look at would be a Chrysler 300 with 16.3 cubic feet, Dodge Charger with 16.5 cubic feet and Chevy Impala with 18.6 cubic feet.
