dgs1997
OK first off I am new at car audio and understand most of the basic concepts of it but I am getting 4 12" alpine type r subs that are 4 ohm dvc I'm going to wire them to 2 amps each wired down to 4 or 1 ohm the RMS rating for the sub's are 300-1000 watts each 3000 max but the deal breaker is I'm looking to spend under $400 the details of the build is that its going to be a center console build in an 07 f150 super crew sealed box that has 1.5-2 CFT of airspace per sub I'm running a singer 320 amp alt and knu konceptz 1/0 gauge wire any help on this would be greatly appreciated if you need more info let me know and I'll get back as soon as I can WCA Rusty, on 15 Jan 2015 - 11:59 PM, said: Come see me and we will just start the party off out in the 160+ demo's FCS530, on 16 Jan 2015 - 12:41 AM, said: You can't get in a virgins earhole with something that big! Motorboat KER
OK first off I am new at car audio and understand most of the basic concepts of it but I am getting 4 12" alpine type r subs that are 4 ohm dvc I'm going to wire them down to 2 ohm and I want to be able to feed them at least 500 watts a piece I need to find an amp that will be GREAT on these subs but the deal breaker is I'm looking to spend under $400 the details of the build is that its going to be a center console build in an 07 f150 super crew sealed box that has 1.5-2 CFT of airspace per sub I'm running a singer 320 amp alt and knu konceptz 1/0 gauge wire any help on this would be greatly appreciated if you need more info let me know and I'll get back as soon as I can So you will need an amp that does 2000w at 2 ohms. I don't think there is an amp that can deliver that with your $400 budget. Do you mind links to used amps?
dgs1997
Used amps are fine as long as they work and aren't bad amps in general WCA Rusty, on 15 Jan 2015 - 11:59 PM, said: Come see me and we will just start the party off out in the 160+ demo's FCS530, on 16 Jan 2015 - 12:41 AM, said: You can't get in a virgins earhole with something that big! RainStryke
I'd get one of these, totally worth going a little over budget. http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-2200D_p_31.html

Afficionado
I would not advise the soundqubed at this point..my experience thus far with the sq-2200 has been terrible. However I have been able to measure r500's and r1000's and they both make power, so I would assume a r1200 will also make power. what is your price range? dgs1997
Around $400 I've contacted sonicelextronix and they will discount them for me so total is around 380-390 for 2 of the rockford 1200s WCA Rusty, on 15 Jan 2015 - 11:59 PM, said: Come see me and we will just start the party off out in the 160+ demo's FCS530, on 16 Jan 2015 - 12:41 AM, said: You can't get in a virgins earhole with something that big!
