I've never done anything regarding home audio or surround sound. I am going to be installing a system in a square "barn style" party shack where I need a central unit to play music and want to mount speakers in each wall corner. I bought my home system for <100 bucks for reciever 4 floor speakers and two book shelfs piecemeal over the course of a summer. Not great stuff, but technics and pioneer aren't horrible.
