Skax Posted October 24, 2014 Report Share Posted October 24, 2014 I picked up a sa8v2 and a enclosure from 79cutty on smd box tuned to 34.4 hz ,75 cubes after displacement was wondering what kind of power I could throw to this daily was thinking a at/ct 400.1 but was wondering if it could take more any opinions ?? coh33dkill3r Posted October 24, 2014 Report Share Posted October 24, 2014 I'd say somewhere around 700-750 rms tops... Most people are running 2 sa8s to a saz1500 (750rms ea.). I ran that on a pair of SA8v1.5s... not v2s.. but v1.5s Now, that was in like .65/sub.. But I smelled them like once lol.. They took the power insanely well.. With that being said.. You need to be smart. With a box on their LARGER recommended box range.. you dont wanna run too much power. How much port area do you have too? Big ports tend to have a steep drop off.. so thats one more thing to take into account.
