SMZ2
My electrical is a d3400 up front and 2 d3100 in the back with 2 frame grounds and 2 runs of power all sky high ofc. At the front battery my dmm reads 14.5 at the back batteries it reads 13.5. How am I losing a volt? The runs and grounds go to separate batteries then I have jumpers in between. Any ideas guys? reedal
I could be headed in the wrong direction with this because i have no clue, but are those measurements taken with the car running or off? if running, for how long? Maybe the rear batts haven't had enough time to charge up? pioneerforlife
@reedal I don't think that would be the problem because the batteries rest at 13 or so. therefore if he was reading 13.5 in back they should be charged. I may be completely wrong but just a thought. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

SMZ2
Okay checked before and after fuses. Upfront are good on both sides my back fuses are reading 13.5 on both sides though. Could it be my grounds? My runs are probably under 20ft. Its ran under the carpet and carpet padding. It is secured down under the carpet with deadner. It should not be moving so there shouldn't be any shorts anywhere. OrionStang
Check all your fuse connections, make sure they are clean and tight. Try a different ground location, or even try prepping the current location better. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

pioneerforlife
I would say redo or upgrade the ground and go from there. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

Krakin
Wire has a resistance too, make sure you have a large enough gauge for the length of the run to not lose much voltage. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
