ssmokeyy
I have a 06 f150 with extended car small rear doors and i have 3 inch's from wall to seat. I have 1/0 awg power wire from the front to the rear. 14 gauge pro stringer 100% copper wire to each speaker. Kicker zx 650.4 AND ZXS1000.1 for the amps. I'm going to upgrade the front battery to a agm group 65 should put out 850 cold cranking amp's. I got a cap but its to big for the spot. I was wondering is a agm under the hood going to be enough or should i get a small agm power cell that is not bigger than 3 inch deep and put it back there and is it enough to really help? The truck has 8 and 4 gauge factory for power and grounds so not sure how much the big 3 is going to help out. Any idea's or links are more than welcome. Hopesndreams
Do your big 3 upgrade for sure, you dont want to run 1/0 gauge to your amps and then have your wiring under the hood half that size or smaller. Your electrical will suffer. I personally hate caps they just make a headache IMO and alot of people on here will agree. With a good agm battery from XSpower or Kinetik depending on how you crank your music with that wattage you shouldn't have much worry after upgrading your front battery and big 3 L
ssmokeyy
really its just a lot of overhead. the subs are kicker cvr 10's and full power would blow them up. It's behind the rear seat and only want to go back there one time. I think i miight install a small agm battery back there unless its going to hurt my truck or system. It's only going to be a 600 watt kinetik hc600 is the only size we can get back there but i feel its better than a cap. Not even sure if i can fit my cap since i got a basic cap old style not the box they make today.
