tbeats
Ok ive seen a lot of debate on where to set the ssf. My box is tuned to 34hz. My amps ssf is a 24db slope. . I have heard set it 1/2 octave, 1/3 octave , one or two hz below tuning or even right at box tuning. .. so whats the best bet? Im using a saz 1500d amp. tbeats
I have seen where incriminator audio recommends setting the subsonic filter to 1 to 2 hz below tuning. And sundown says 1/3 octave in my case would be 29hz .. just wanting the best sound and a safe setting for the subs.
GSanders17
If the manufacturer says 1/3 octave below then thats what I would use.

kicker8940
Yes i would agree with Kyle and Brian. From what i've learned is you set your SSF a 1/2 octave below your tuning frequency,so if you have a 24db slope filter you take your box tuning frequency and multiply it by .75 So it would be 34x.75=25.5 then round up to the nearest whole number 26Hz

That said, if OP is truly TUNED where he thinks he is.. (you would be more than surprised) if he is truly tuned where he thinks he is....... Thats said, imho, id run the gear, and adjust to it. Just pen and paper,..... meh..... Quote SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
