Hello allz, Thank you for taking the time to check out my review of this product i know its been done probably many many times.

enough of the point less banter lets get too it.

well lets start at the begging when i first picked it up its felt sturdy i mean you could beat some one with it and it would sill run work lol

( i don't suggest anyone try that.)

the rubber cover feels soft and resilient and keeps its forum to the smd-dd1 very well. I could have done with out the belt loop holes in the rubber cover, but its not a big deal.

the label is inset a bit, witch i like as it keep the edges of the label safer, Clear easy to read text.the buttons are ok i would have prefer
something a bit better as to me just dont feel right .

the probes are ok, i would have like to seen something a little nice and maybe covers with the as rubber as the case but that's just me being picky

it takes a 9Volt battery, had to run to the store for one as nothing uses 9 votes anymore.

this thing is almost to easy to use lol, took me no time at all to set my gains up!

come with very clear instructions.

it cost me $248.98.

i shopped around for the cheapest price BTW thats CAD

i got it from us amazon very fast delivery.

so pros

sturdy

good quality rubber cover

good quality label

bright leds

analog

clear text

simple straightforward instructions

peace of mine

cons

probes ( just me being picky )

9v battery ( also me just being picky)

Price

use once and done with till next upgrade.

after all this, before i got this it was hard to justify buying this item. but after holding and using it and the peace of mined that knowing that everything is setup right justify s the cost. only wish someone i knew had one lol.

bot it from amazon.com made in Tempe, Arizona

well as this is my first review of anything ever let me know how i did, as i would like to do more on all the hardware that i use in my jeep.

Good review!

I have also wondered the whole thing behind the belt straps in the boot.

I wouldn't find it to practical having to remove your belt every time to take the meter off to use it, unless you pull it out of the protective boot and leave that on your belt. Maybe there is a whole other reason for them that we haven't realized yet.

The whole 1 use thing as a con as many claim it to be is often anything from just that.

Im sure with in time, you will find yourself using it more and more. You just dont realize it yet.

If you have any friends that do any thing audio related you could charge them 10-15 bucks to set their gains.

You can also use it on home audio and pro audio equipment just as well.

Also there is a thread here for people that have a DD-1, DD-1+, CC-1, IM-SG, AMM-1, etc that allows users to look up other users that may have a tool in their area that can be used.

So it can really be used beyond just yourself or your friends and make some new friends with the same interests as you.

The SMD tool map hasn't been updated in a while, think the OP for that thread went AWOL.

$250 for a DD1??? Did the price go way up since last I checked, or overseas shipping???
