recommended amount and size for a dc10k

Recommended Posts

So my friend is doing a 10k and 2 fi teams im trying to think what would be best he has a s10 extreme that is going to have a 350 stroker put in so one alt is probably only going to fit so a nice battery bank is going to be needed.

Werd. I ran my dc 10k .7 nominal with a singer 350 conventional and !the mentioned 4-7500s. I never saw 10s. Hell low 11's after 10 demos at full was uncommon.

Still haven the bats added a alt and swapping the conventinal for a hair pin just for better performance. But that set up was awesome for that amp

I loved that 10k by the way. Wish I never sold it.

Look for around 7-9 hundred amp hours and you will do fine.

I highly suggest getting a 6phase /hair pin alternator. Period.

haha. Better to side with more electrical. No such thing as too much battery support.

this is true... im also hoping when we build the shell and he can still sit comfortably we have enough airspace lol.. if not back to the drawing board

Going off SonicElectronix prices, you can get 6 D3100s for less than 4 D7500s, and the D3100s will only weight 53.2lbs more (the only downfall) while having more combined reserve spec wise.

Plus sometimes it is a lot easier to make room for a few more smaller batteries than a few larger batteries.
