They also took the multi-faceted approach that DD claims to have taken- I don't see why DD would even try to make the claim that Sundown only went after Xmax. That being said, DD2508 vs Sundown X8 comparison is required. After stating that some only go for xmax, he ran down pretty much the exact list that the others have done to achieve the same goal, other than the new surround (which creases next to the ribs at full excursion--that may be a concern for longevity). Remember when another company grabbed a "supercharged" DD a while back and did a full test ripping it down the whole time? This is extremely tame in comparison, focusing on what DD believes to right in this sub rather than what's wrong with the others.
