gmoxley1
So I got an saz-1200 and would really like to match subs and amps. What you you guys personally recommend? I have plenty of air space. I like hard hitting lows. Most of what I play is below 45hz so I'm not really picky about being loud up higher above that. I really like the lower 30s and upper 20s. So what are some sundown recommendations on that kind of power? And it can either be 1 12, 2 12s, or 1 15. So what dother you think? Single sa 15? X 15? Sa 12s? X 12? Very open to suggestions. I hope this doesn't count as a vs thread. Thanks! boom50cal
A X-15 would do good with that power, as would 2 SA-12's. Depends on how much you want to spend. Exactly how much airspace and what vehicle are you building it in? Quote On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole. Exactly how much airspace and what vehicle are you building it in? I've got a 98 blazer with cargo area that's not used for anything (except the box that's in there now. So if need be I can have up to about 6 or 7 cubes comfortably. Should be more than enough haha. Love the mega roll surround. gmoxley1
X-15 if you want to get down to the low 30s and 20s. Sorry to bring back up but would the x 15 still be able to have a respectable 40-55 the range not crazy like the 30s. I would be tuned either 30 or 32 hz. I like the lows but I don't want the upper range to be non existent either. Sorry for the noob questions I just don't live in an area where people have things like this so I have no way or hearing them. The Xs tend to loose wind in the 40-50hz range when they are in a larger enclosure. That's what I found with my X-18s at least. They will still hit lows well even in a smaller enclosure too. And by larger do you mean larger than sundowns recommendation? Cause I was planning on 4.25 cubes for the 15 as sundown recommends or would that be too big? tbeats
I have a saz-1200 on two sa-12's in a 4.0 cubic box tuned to 34hz sounds good. Sq and spl are top notch. Of course the subs would have a little greater spl with more power but im happy with it...

I thought about the 2 sa 12s for a while and then thought about the cool look factor as well as the crazy low end of the x 15. This is making my decisions really hard!
