Phaeton
Is it possible or worth it? uuuhhhhhhh. You mean a 6th order with really long ports? yeah. You can do anything. But you dont want both sides of your bandpass tuned super low or it wont have a good range of playable notes. Maybe one side is tuned to i dunno, 25hz. That might take a port as long as 50 inches, so then you need to put that somewhere, so it snakes/zigzags so you dont have this huge 50 inch long tube as your port. As for the other side you usually tune higher, maybe 45 or 50hz to get that upper end. That will probably be a short port, 10-15 inches maybe. It all depends what sub you have and how much room you have to work with. Bandpass takes up a lot of room. 1997 subaru legacy outback Four 15's in a almost wall Rockford Fosgate t2500-1bdcp Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on tweets Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on highs Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midrange Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midbass Optima Yellow top batteries 270A Singer alt (working on a bracket for a second) Lots of Second Skin
IH8PunkRok
The problem with this is that a t line works on the principal of constructive interference. Essentially it joins the front wave and rear wave together in phase which increases output Not saying it isn't possible but it certainly becomes more complicated when you have a phase that isn't zero -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

Aj11
that's a box with 3 equal length ports. tune tbd box to a tune of say 28hz split into 3rds a 2/3 section and a 1/3rd section. bu.make all 3 ports the same lengths. This will help control xmax at upper and lower hz. so you can put more power to a sub Then rated. do some research. it's not a easy box to build. but lots of fun. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

How about you ACTUALLY build this box and hear what it sounds like before suggesting it as a successful design or not? I'm still not sold on this design and I'd want REAL unbiased reviews of what it sounds like from others before giving it a go ahead and suggesting it to others. It's a lot of wave manipulation for a driver that has a simple job. What's holding you back from having this box built? You've had your sub for quite some time now. Sloppy kisses as always AJ Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
BigJsMonte330
you got beef with AJ ? hahaha I was feeling the same way though, I wouldn't recommend a box to someone if I haven't even built it. the reason im asking for advise is because ive only built sealed/ported boxes. ive tried to make a 4th order but I made it way to small lol. it wasn't a success. BUT IM NOT DISCOURAGED. im still very interested in making bandpass boxes.
