Battery got low and head unit died?

So its Canada and its cold here. Maybe -22C and i left my cell phone booster on in my truck and it killed the battery, Now my head unit wont turn on. I think it might just be the face plate because i took that off and stuck it on my defrost and at the back where you pop in cd's there was a little led blinking, so something was happening back there, but the display on the head unit wont turn on.

Its a kenwood KDC-MP732

have you charged the battery? put the faceplate back on and press and hold down the reset button on the front faceplate........... this should reset the unit.... also make sure the contacts on the face plate are clean and are making good contact with the body of the deck

i tryed the re set button, took off the face plate and put it back on numerous times, making good contact. I didnt change the battery but i did get a boost from another truck. Maybe it was the 15.7 volts my alt charges at first thing in the morning?

Bat works fine now and holds a charge, i turn on ignition and the face plate doesnt do anything, even after i molest the reset button But it worked great earlier. Weird shit. I'll take my dash apart tomorrow to check the rear fuse and in my fuse box, but that little red led still blinks back there...

yeah, means it's got power going to it, might be something like the accessories wire behind the headunit has become detached or loose or something not letting the headunit turn on. (prob check that first) did you use crimp connectors, solder or adapter looms?

solder and shrink wrap all the way.
