YukonDCXL Posted December 16, 2014 Report Share Posted December 16, 2014 I have two of these 18's each on a dc 3.5K and everything is great, they seem to handle the power fine, but I was wondering if there are any upgrades that can/should be done to them to handle the extra power. CJ18 Posted December 16, 2014 Report Share Posted December 16, 2014 No coil upgrades. Nothing is available that will allow them to thermally handle more power. will77530 Posted December 17, 2014 Report Share Posted December 17, 2014 my top recommendation on an upgrade will be the ar cone its a stronger lighter cone that allows more travel, you should never have to change suspension as long as your enclosure is built properly and we use the top 3" coil we can get in our xl. Im the guy that just commented on other thread saying I think mine came stock with the ar. It defenitly does not have the surround that has lines going though it because mine friend has level 4s and his is like that. How do I know for sure?
