Anyone Ever Dealt with Grime Like This?

Recommended Posts

25+ years of oil/dirt

tl;dr: Got a 67 elco from my pops, but he let it sit int he backyard for 25ish years with old oil cans and tons of trash/junk in the bed through the sun and rain. That's how the bed got this way.

Anyone ever dealt with grime like this before? And if so, what method/chemical did you use to aid you in the removal process? I've used a whole bottle of purple power and a tough bristled brush on this bed but to no avail; this shit is caked the fuck on. I'm not turned off to scrubbing like a madman for a while, but I'm trying to get this done ASAP since I've only got a few weeks off from school. I'm trying to find the path of least resistance so to speak.

We used to use this degreaser at the oil change shop that would literally eat the paint off the floor at full strength I can't remember what it's called I'll ask my brother in the am.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

buy a cheap broom and a couple gallons of varsole, and go somewhere close to the hippies, dump a bunch of varsole everywhere and let it sit for a bit, then broom in around, push as much as you can off and then repeat. Should clean up pretty good. Then to get it really clean you can buy this stuff in the auto store called gunk or something, its a airesol can and it takes off oil and grease pretty damn good.

Much appreciated.

I've got the broom, problem is the car doesn't run so it's stuck where it is. I'll look into varsole though, thanks.
