This isn't my first build, but it is the first that i am documenting. I am not an expert, but I do think i know as much or more than anyone working at my local shops. That being said I have a lot to learn. The build is nothing too special, I am happy with it and open to suggestions/ constructive criticism and questions.

Notes

I recently graduated with a biology degree and am headed soon to complete a masters of medical sciences. From there it will be off to Med school, so this will be a slow build. The second issue is that this is my daily so, I cant do anything that will put it out of commission for more than a weekend. Some of the stuff I listed is wishful, but I do plan on getting everything listed eventually if i can keep this car and get a different daily (possibly post grad or medschool). I have and probably will continue to do all the work myself. Im learning as I go.

PICS COMING SOON! :peepwall:

The Xenon Pic is older that's why it has a license plate holder on it still. Finally the Big three and box install. (no judging on my wire color and heat shrink. Im broke and used what i had. Haha). The amp setup is temporary, though the box came out really solid so mounting there wouldn't be that bad. I just don't want to chance it. I'm trying to figure out something more permanent. Well Let me know what yall think. Im considering getting a single bank of the 3000farad Maxwell caps as I need to save on weight and my voltage is pretty stable for about 30 seconds at full tilt and i usually listen to it way below that.

Additional Notes. The Alt to batt wire was run underneath the vehicle along side the factory run. It is fused. then the run from the battery to the amp is fuse in the middle at the only place possible but the fuse is less than 18" from the batt. On the grounds that you see, I attempted to ground to the alt case, but it was impossible to safely run the wire due to the belt. The location I chose is only a few inches from the alt and unlike the factory ground which is to the engine mount mine is actually to the block. There is a raised bare area that is pretty much the exact size of the SHCA copper lugs. That's why it looks like there is paint under the ground. Only the tip of the bolts are painted, the threads are clean. I have since added additional washers to the battery terminals for a more secure connection.
