Oscope and Test Tones

So I got a DSO 201 Nano. I have a question about what test tones to use to set gain. I am running a 3 way active front stage. Here are my crossover points.

Sub - 80hz and under

Mid bass - 80hz - 500hz

Mid range - 500hz - 5000hz

Tweets - 5000hz and up

I was going to use the following

40hz for sub

300hz for Mid bass

3000hz for Mid range

7000hz for Tweets

This sound correct?

Thanks for the help

Sub - 40

Mid bass - 250

Mid range - 1000

Tweets - 5000

that is where i would set the gain at.

At the same headunit volume, the lower the frequency the higher the ACV on the output (RCA's), so set it towards the bottom of the range of frequencies.

If you set your bass amp with say 50hz @ 0dB and then play a 30hz @ 0dB tone, you will be clipping heavily.

40hz on the lows amps.

1000hz on the high amps.

your gain overlaps are up to you but for me -10db on bass, -5db on mids/highs (give or take a db). Use a 0db track on all incoming signals (deck/eq/x-over/linedriver)

done.

Thanks guys for the responses. One more question. I am using factory HU going into a 3Sixty.3 should I check the RCA out of the 3Sixty first then go to speaker terminals out of amp?

Steve, would 1000hz tone work on the tweet amp being that is playing 5000 and up or adjust the crossover to somewhere under 1000 then set the gain then re-adjust my crossover points?

Thanks
