kcarter1227
Alright Update: Got a phone call.. My position working doing insurance for the state has been terminated, Florida Blue as a company has been way over budget and been looking for ways to cut back, our department lost a little under half our team and I was on the list. So, no income coming in so the big purchases will have to stop... Luckily I have a large chunk of change saved up from working so much and If I play my cards right I can live pretty easily through this year at least. That being said still job hunting as we speak. I will probably get a job with UNF (my school) doing orientation leading for new students coming in and being a tour guide. It'll bring in a couple hundred a month to kind of hold me off till I can get my engineering internship approved and finalized. I've hated working behind a desk for the last 3 years and am excited to get a chance to be able to work with people and have fun at my job doing what I love.... Also all of the audio stuff has already been purchased so I can finish the build at least. Pictures being uploaded as we speak! kcarter1227
Preparing to add the final coats of bedliner to the rest of the box Boom, love working with this stuff very easy to coat on there! Old race truck we were working on, this big thing runs like a scalded dog, Built 390 big block 11.5:1 compression off of race gas, she will pin me back to my seat harder than my DD will... AND it's on 40's, looking to sell or trade after we finish up the body work And some of y'all were asking about my bed cover, this is a cheap tonneau cover I picked up for like $35 meant for a chevy short bed that doesn't flare like mine does, soooo we had to trim the supports and the flaps hang over a little bit, super temporary till I can find a fiberglass one. Alright! Time for interior and door panels ! kcarter1227
When I bought this truck from a single mother with 4 kids I figured there would be some spills or crumbs or whatever... What I was not expecting was THIS Absolutely horrific, I'm not a clean freak but THAT is disgusting, there was like sticky gross crap allll underneath the carpet. If you can see there is some more lighter carpet above it, I ordered the same color as the original carpet which means all that crap changed the color of the carpet, If you look down where the bolts held the seat down there are circles of what should be the original color, just so you know I'm not exaggerating. Boom! No carpet, it's time for some deadener! There is some silver factory looking deadener already installed, so I ignored those areas for now, I went around tapping the panels with a hammer to see where and how bad they resonated and went from there Nothing quite says "ohh crap I have work in the morning but I'm in the middle of a build!" quite like the above pic... Not a very good picture, I still deadened some more than what you can see here and still have to do the back 25% of the cab, I'm thinking about getting a couple rolls of Rammat and going ape $h!t with it but we will see If I really need it, all of the resonating is gone in the front half of the truck anyways. New carpet in, cutting it was a pain because I got the MLV on the back and the foamy cloth stuff. Amp rack test fit, just mocking up The Brothers My New Viper 5706 V to keep the bad guys out Complete with Remote Start, starter interrupt, smart start capable (control truck from my iphone) proximity sensor and alarm and more goodies Alright Enough of that, time for the Door Panels! kcarter1227
Sorry for the wait guys, I've been job hunting and taking care of some business with the extra free time I have picked up lately...Anyways, door panel time! Here is the stock door panel, about to get violated Mounting platform for the 2 6.5's No going back now! Test fitting for depth, ended up trimming a little bit of height off to flush mount them as well as make clearance against the seats when the door was closed IMG_4036_zps943a9e93.jpg Running wires through the door jams through the boot in the door was a HUGE PITA (The 3rd 6.5 was mounted in the stock location) Test fit on the doors Painted to match stock (for now) Hard to see but this is with the door all the way back together Team Lethal Pressure Vice-President 2002 Ford F-150 Supercrew -Taramps DSP 3000 (subs) -Taramps DSP 1600 (mids) -8 Skar Audio FSX Mids -4 Skar Audio VX35-ST Super Tweets -85' of 1/0 EB Flex Welding Cable -XS D3400 under the hood -Datasafe 12HX505-FR in the rear (110 ah) -Pioneer AVH-2700BS -2 Soundqubed HDS315's -4th order Blowthrough -100 Sq. feet of deadener (Qmat, GP STFU, Noico) -147.8 @ 40 Hz -Top 5 in 904 SPL Outlaw's Walled List -Rebuild on the way
