prv audio experience anyone?

Recommended Posts

I haven't heard too much about prv audio but I'm thinking of pulling the plug on them. I'm going to get 4 8" mid range drivers and 4 super tweeters. I've heard a lot of good things about crescendo. They also look a lot nicer. I really like the fact that they have push terminals too. They're little bit more expensive though. I don't want this to be a vs thread (which is inevitable) but does anyone have any experience at all with prv audio? I really don't have any good reasons why I'm leaning towards them so much, but I am. I still might end up going with crescendo.

A couple of show that I have been to there is a guy that has four 8" or 6.5" in each door and they sounded amazing and loud. They weren't just loud but crisp as well. I'm not sure what he had pushing them but I can promise you that you won't be disappointed. He wasn't the o my one running PRV but he is the one that stands out the most. I was thinking about going with prv when I did my doors but I found a good deal on some PWX's so I got those ($100 for 4)

Yea I built a set of home audio speakers with them. They are clean sounding but need break in time (like any speaker). Didn't really settle in until 40-50hrs break in. I would say that the build quality is great and the sound is decent, if you take the time to tune them they can be really nice.

Edit:I would recommend against a SMALL sealed enclosure with them. In a car audio door app you will most likely not have an issue.
