ChevyBoy95
Seems my PC has sort of seemed a little bogged down. Noticed this the most with playing hearthstone on my lenovo laptop that is bone stock, with an i5 (2.5GHz), 4gb of ram, win7 and was like 500 bucks running it like nothing, then my PC, with i5 (3.2GHz), the stock card (6790 took a shit), 6gb of ram and what not barely able to even run it. By barely i mean it looks good, just loading times seem a bit iffy. But i have no issues with the HDD on my pc on anything else. Long story short, is there anything I can run, like a graphics check or program that could asses what I AM REALISTICALLY getting from my parts, or even see if there is something slowing my computer down? aculous
what system specs does hearthstone recomend? Also you may get better performance out of a SSD harddrive if you don't have one already.
ChevyBoy95
For what I do, i dont need nor really want an SSD, they arent necessary. I should have worded it like this... windows, even regular things seems to take a decent time to open. They dont have that "snap" right when you double click them, it is like you can tell it is thinking before it does it. I have ran BF3 and other open world games on ultra without an SSD with short load times and great FPS, when i had my HD6790. I think what my issue is, is more gummed up based, like idk what, but processes are slow. all4spl
A fresh install of windows would help a lot, and just because you "think" you don't need an SSD tells me "maybe" you haven't used a PC running an SSD for it's OS drive. The difference is literally night and day. Just some food for thought. I didn't mean it as I don't need your help, it might have come out that way (tone doesnt get translated in test), im just trying to explain what I am seeing. The reason I said I dont want one nor need one is due to the fact that on a HDD my computer was FAST, VERY FAST, compared to what it is now. Im not looking for how to make my computer FASTER, i want to know how to return it to its former glory. I obviously wouldnt be here if I had all the answers.... edit: and by "they arent necessary" i meant in my application... hence what i said ^^^^ Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/
SnowDrifter
How are temps? Are you reaching thermal throttle of any hardware? How about the last time you defragged? aculous
most likely either you have a program that is hogging resources, a vius/ransomware/malware or there is a incompatibility with your hardware to software combo IF hearthstone was giving you the trouble and everything was fine beforehand. If you dl a lot of porn or torrents your likelihood of number 2 is INFINITELY higher. Also the reason why I ask your specs, which you never answered was to see if hearthstone (no idea, guessing its a game) is compatible with your hardware. Do yourself a favor and go over the bleeping computer and run and post a hijackthis log. They're good people over there.

RainStryke
To test the HDD you can use this: http://www.hdsentinel.com/ You can attempt a defrag on your PC to see if it's in need of a defrag. SSD's should be around $70 per 240GB by Q3 2015 this year. Totally worth the upgrade, even with most of them around $90 at the moment. If you do make the change, just make sure to get a MLC drive, they last the longest out of all of the SSD drives. I would also run multiple virus scans to see if you have some kind of malware or virus. I would use Malwarebytes and bitdefender if you decide to run free scans. One last thing, i'd recommend a complete re-install of windows.
