nepjr32
I just got a new truck and am going to to 4 DC m3 8's in it. Was wonder what would be the best option for powering these things/ what impedence I should wire them at. I have a crescendo 3500 right now but was looking to go to something alittle smaller since there isnt much room in an ext cab truck. Just wanted some advice or just wanting to know what amp people have theirs hoooked up to.
MrSkippyJ
find a quality amp that has a power output rating comparable to the combined RMS rating of the subs that what ever ohms the subs will be wired too. Aren't they 500watts RMS each? If so find a quality 2k watt RMS amp @ what ever ohms you subs will be wired too. CLPeller
I ran my 4 off a DC 3.5K at 1 ohm and they handled it no problem Check out my build! 4 sets CT Sounds Meso components in custom fiberglass doors, 4 D'amore Engineering AF-15's on a DC Audio 3.5K http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187649-2011-f150-fiberglass-doors-half-wall-16000-w/
nepjr32
They are 600 rms. Was probably going to wire all 4 in parellel and get the dual 4 ohm versions and wire two pairs both at 1 ohm feeding to the amp. The Crescendo BC 2000 would probably be a good fit then? MrSkippyJ
not sure how you are wiring four D4 subs to 1ohm though. nepjr32
not sure how you are wiring four D4 subs to 1ohm though. No wiring two subs that in parellel to 1 ohm and doing that to the other side as well so there is 2 pairs wired from one another
