sundown scv 1500 worth it to upgrade?

Recommended Posts

i wouldn't change it.. its basically the same amp.. the only difference is that the saz1200 d can put out more at higher voltage and the scv line can only see 15. something volts

i love sundown amps but i just think its a selling trick jacob is using.. make the amps put out the same watts and rate them higher to make them look cheap per watt when in fact you are getting same amp with different components to make them 12v.. not bashing on him or sundown i will still run sundown amps

What's the trick miguel?

More watts at less voltage sounds good too me.

They are cheaper too so I'm failing to see the issue.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

i posted about it on another thread but looks like it was deleted

i wouldnt call changing from a saz1200 to a svc1500 an upgrade.. they put up the same numbers at 12v. if he wants to upgrade the svc2000 would be an upgrade

The scv 2000 would be awesome but I can't fit a larger size due to space on how my install is... If the scv line can put out more wattage with less voltage going with the scv 1500 I should get more wattage correct? But would that wattage even be noticeable?

what is your voltage looking like? you can get more out of that saz1200 with a better alt and a battery in the rear. even if you get the svc2000 you wont see much gains because your electrical is limited
